Goodnestone Park Wedding Photography
Phoebe and Richard got married on the May Bank Holiday weekend surrounded by their 30 closest family members and friends. Phoebe got ready at Chelsea Harbour Hotel with her mum and bridesmaids where the atmosphere was filled with love and laughter. We all headed then to St Anselm’s Church at Tooting Bec for a joyous wedding ceremony and blessing. The service ended with lots of big hugs and happy tears. The air was filled with excitement, passers-by waved and wished the happy couple congratulations. The icing on the cake was Richard receiving a refreshing half-pint of beer from a friend. Greatly appreciated by the groom as it was a hot day.
Romantic and Chic
After the romantic ceremony, everyone travelled to the Goodnestone Park Mansion which is an exquisite privately owned stately home. As well as offering plenty of indoor and outdoor space, it has one of the loveliest gardens in Kent.
Also, the mansion was a favourite of Jane Austen’s in the 18th century and most importantly, where she started to write her first novel Pride & Prejudice. So it’s totally a gem of a place.
Here are a few images as a sneak peek.
My aim is always to capture in images what makes the couple’s day special for them and for all the people who love them. And yes, there are the nerves, last minute fixes, laughter, unexpected surprises, overwhelming emotions, sweet tears and some wicked dance moves. It’s great to work with chilled out couples who care most about having the right people there and having a great party.
